Barclay Friesen – COO

Barclay Friesen is responsible for the development, design, operation, and improvement of all systems related to the growth of Rivet’s Pro-Services, Compliance (XBRL) Services, Sales, Marketing, and Partnership departments. He has lead Rivet through explosive growth, from  the 5th to 1st largest XBRL software services vendor and staff growth of over 1140%. Leveraging his 15 years of experience in business services, Barclay’s vision and go-to-market sales strategy recently resulted in a 100% increase in client acquisitions. As the former VP of Sales and Marketing at Rivet, Barclay lead day-to-day operations of the sales department, while maintaining focus on the company’s strategic goals. He was in charge of developing and deploying all sales activities, departments, and personnel involved in sales and marketing for the Company.

Throughout his career, Barclay has combined a cross-functional background in sales and operational management to implement successful strategies in small and medium-sized companies. He has developed and successfully implemented sales strategies in domestic and international industries such as telecommunications and manufacturing, demonstrating successes in revenue growth, sales team management, and strategic business development. As former VP of Sales and co-founder of ServiceSelect, Barclay led operations, sales, and marketing teams which resulted in securing eight consecutive quarters of growth in the face of a declining overall market. Barclay’s market sales strategy resulted in a 100% increase in client acquisitions and a 500% increase in revenue growth for the company in Q4 2009.

Barclay studied Business Administration at North Carolina State University.
