For a state of the art review of submitting XBRL filings to the S.E.C. there’s probably no more comprehensive place to start than Charles Hoffman’s Understanding SEC XBRL Filings, which crams some 10,000 hours of expertise into around 100 pages. Both broad and deep, this a document for dedicated XBRLrs only. Good to see business rules and semantics represented among the content.
