Do the Pogo

Yes. I know it’s been a long wait and it’s hardly as compelling as the Hitler Downfall spoofs. But you can now view the GRI Conference panel session on Sustainability Reporting and XBRL Applications, which is rapidly climbing the conference’s most viewed charts on YouTube. Luckily my slot is in Part 1 of the video so eat your hearts out other presenters. Marvel at my rambling explanation of taxonomies. Discover new modes of sustainable transport. Watch me take on Mike Krzus, Vietnam vet and co-author of the One Report. Get your daily dose of Heidegger. You know you want it as they say in those charming Pot Noodle advertisements (Net Nanny Alert: Rated PG).

But more importantly let’s hear what you think about progressing the GRI XBRL taxonomy and the future of taxonomy driven transparency reporting. Lots and lots of indicators are great but without a taxonomy to share all that data with the Cloud-Crowd, sustainability reporting is going to be stuck in the world of PDFs forever. It’s great to have integrated reporting on paper but it’s rather more useful in XBRL.
